Description

The real leaves of She-Oaks are minute, their function being replaced by the fine green branches that look like pine needles. Plants are either male or female and can only be identified when they flower. Male trees have tiny orange "flowers" on the green branches, while female plants have small (1cm or less) blood-red flowers that grow on the bare branches (see photos).

Advice

Prefers full sun or light shade in well-drained soil. Local plants do not like salt winds, and you should avoid damaging the roots or the plant will sucker.
