Description
Like Carex appressa, this is a clumping, grass-like plant that suits "structural" gardens with its tubular upright leaves. Alternately, a clump or two can look really good near a pond. It likes moist soil, such as the overflow from a pond, but doesn't need to be kept wet. It can be quite vigorous and needs space where it can spread.
