Kangaroo Grass

This is a Summer-growing grass suited to most soils. Its leaves have built-in sun protection of purple and brown tones. This can cause some people to think the grass is drying off at the time it is at its lushest. The seedheads stand above the leaves and continue the purple and brown colouring.

Maintenance

If cut back to about 10cm in March or April, the new leaves will be green until they regain their suntan in Spring.
